A Final Word...
As originally written when the fanfic was first uploaded years ago
Wow... you actually made it to the end.
I'm just as surprised as I really am. I was afraid I wouldn't get this far altogether. But here we all are, and I must say I am pleased with the final result.
I want to give a heartfelt thanks to all of you who found my story interesting enough to read it all the way here. I hardly consider myself a good writer. In fact, FREEZE FRAME marks only the second complete story I've ever written and the very first fanfic. It was good practice, though, so never let anyone tell you that writing fanfic is a waste of time.
Update: After all these years since originally writing this, not only have I written more prose, but I have also actually incorporated some of the themes and plot points and even a scene and chapter name from this very fanfic into my comic, EGORAVEN: HEIR OF THE FIRST UNICORN. Fanfic became a way for me to identify idea holes and form them out before committing them to original productions. So definitely, writing fanfic is NOT a waste of time. - Daphne
